Tour of Osaka, Japan

Thank you for your interest in joining the field trip on Oct 30, 2015. Since the number of people who applied to the field tour has been much more than we expected, we decided to organize all of you into two groups. The groups will be doing the same itinerary but in a different order. Pre-registration is required.

Departure: from Osaka University, Suita campus

Meet at the front of Convention Center (see map below)

Time: 8am-4pm

Cost: Please pay the tour fare (US$50: including lunch /person) by cash only to our staff during the bus tour.

To Bring: please note that you will probably not have time to return to your hotels before the welcome reception so please make sure to bring a change of clothes. You should also bring a windbreaker or light sweater and be prepared for possible rain.

Tour Highlights:
・Osaka Castle
・Sakai Plaza of Rikyu and Akiko (You can enjoy a traditional Japanese tea ceremony!)
・Food Sample R&M (Experience: Food sampling making)

Lunch: We will have lunch at the Restaurant World Buffet. Please be informed that the lunch menu has been changed from Udon-suki (Japanese hot-pot with noodle) to International buffet to accommodate to everyone’s dietary needs. 

To cancel the tour, please let us know no later than Oct. 5 (Japan Time), otherwise you will be charged for full amount (US$50) at the registration at the conference.
