2015 Workshop Poster Guidelines
Poster presentation guidelines for workshop participants' accepted abstracts:
- First, please don’t forget to confirm via email to [email protected] that you will be able to give this presentation. If you can’t be there in person but know someone else who could present your poster, that is acceptable.
- Please make sure to register for the workshop.
- Poster presentations are a great way to showcase researchers’ work in an interactive format. We expect that approximately 30-40 posters will be displayed concurrently during the poster session October 31.
General poster guidelines:
- Your poster should measure a maximum of .75 meters wide by 1 meter tall.
- Posters should ideally be printed on a light background and on non-glossy paper.
- Your poster should include the title of the presentation and list of authors.
- Text should be legible from a distance of at least 3 meters. Use a large font size (recommended 20 point) and avoid the use of fancy fonts. Sans serif fonts, such as Veranda, are much easier to read than Serif fonts.
- Use wide margins in order to make your poster legible.
- Try to minimize the amount of text on your poster and include figures, tables, charts and photographs. Color is also preferred.
- If possible, please include: an introduction, methods, results and discussion.
- The student poster competition will take place November 2, 2015.
- See specifications above.
